In the Beginning…

As a millennial with ADHD and anxiety, like everyone else, getting through Covid-19 required a lot of trial and error. I started a million projects and hope to use the blog to finish a few and document what did work for me. At the beginning of the pandemic I remained optimistic that the time at home would help me get more involved in some of my hobbies and get my hands dirty in my craft room. 2020 was a wild ride. I bought a house, a new (to me) car, adopted a puppy, had my job push us to work from home, made a small business at a farmers market, and like most of you, spent a lot of time online.

Since things have calmed down into the “new normal” I want to get back in to various hobbies. One thing I did in 2020 was launch my own small business. I have always had a part time job in restaurants to help with some extra cash but with Covid I wasn’t able to wait tables for awhile. So in its place I decided to launch my own business at a local farmers market. I sold baked goods, homemade marshmallows, and various flavors of homemade jams. The jams and cookies ended up doing really well but I found myself overwhelmed and quite frankly, in over my head. So when my best friends wedding rolled around that year I ended my stint at the farmers market and haven’t been back since.

Do I regret it? Absolutely not. I learned a lot and now want to take things slower and put what I learned and what I am still learning out for others to hopefully find something useful! So welcome. I’m so glad you’re here and hope at least one post brings a smile to your face.
